RaceSafe H20 Fitting Kits
The Tweed River Water Ski Club committee has passed a decision to incorporate the race safeH2O system for the 2017-2018 East Coast Ski Race series the main reason for this decision is to improve several areas of risk management.
The main safety function of the race Safe system is to automatically generate hazard warnings in the event of an accident. This signal is transmitted immediately to following competitor’s boats and race controllers. Each in-boat unit indicates the boats speed, severity of accident and location in reference to the designated course.
All competitors with boats in the East coast Ski Race series will need to purchase and install the RaceSafe H2O fitting kit into your boat.
These RaceSafe fitting kits can be purchased from the Tweed River Water Ski Club for a cost of $170.00 by filling out the form below.
Video and further information are provided to explain the system in greater detail below.

WHAT IS THE REASON FOR RACESAFE H2O?
The primary purpose of the RaceSafe H2O system for competitors is to warn the driver of upcoming hazards on the course so that they can take proactive action in preventing a secondary collision and also to automatically send messages back to race control and surrounding boats when a boat is in a dangerous position or has been involved in an accident.
WHAT DO I NEED TO RUN A RACESAFE H2O UNIT IN MY BOAT?
There are two components needed to run the RaceSafe H2O system in your boat. The first is the RaceSafe H2O unit itself; this will be installed by yourself (after unit hand out), either at scrutineering or at another convenient time before the event starts.
The second is a RaceSafe H2O fitting kit. The kit includes antennas, mounting hardware and power supply leads. In order to run RaceSafe H2O in an event (and consequently, to pass scrutineering), this will need to be installed correctly prior to the event.
