Nev Wilson Memorial Ski Classic 2017
Proudly presented by the Tweed River Water Ski Club.
Entries are now open for the Nev Wilson Memorial Water Ski Classic which is being held on the 15th and 16th of July 2017.
Date:
Saturday 15th July- Sub juniors, 60MPH, Next Gen, Novice& Drivers race.
Sunday 16th July- 70MPH, Masters and Women’s, unlimited Inboard-Outboard.
Where: Saturday race control Tweed River Tumbulgum NSW.
Sunday race control Fingal Boat Harbour Tweed River Fingal NSW.
Start: Saturday scrutineering 9am-10-30, 11 o’clock briefing and Breathalyzer testing, first race is at 12PM.
Sunday first race starts Murwillumbah rowing club shore. Boats in the social 70 must be on the banks by 7:45 for breathalyser and briefing at 8:00. Race starts 8:30 AM sharp. Any boats requiring Scrutineering on Sunday need to make an appointment prior to Sunday morning. (Nathan 0414408253)
Format Saturday
Race 1: Sub Juniors (Under 14) 45Kms 12:00PM $60.00
Race 2: Social 60 45Kms 1:00PM $60.00
Race 3: Next Generation 1Km 2:00PM No Entry Fee
Race 4: Novice race SNR/JNR 15Kms 2:30PM $40.00
Novice skiers have not raced in any class other than next gen before. Can be first race as an Adult.
Race 5: Drivers Race 15Kms 3:30PM $40.00
Drivers race skiers can’t ski in any other event over the weekend. Any team that does race will be disqualified.
Sunday
Race 1: Social 70 26Kms 8:30PM $60.00
Race 2: Juniors, women’s & masters. 52Kms 9:15PM $60.00
Juniors are under 17 years of age
Race 3: unlimited inboard & unlimited outboard 52Kms 11:30AM $90.00
Race safe levy per weekend $50.00
Please note we have capped the entry cost, you are able to compete in all the events over the weekend for $200.00 (plus race safe levy =$250.00)
Social classes must not exceed 60/70 Mph (GPS will be provided) no restriction on boats.

All boat owners need to supply officials proof of current boat registration. Qld boat license holders need to apply for a copy of their boat license to present to race officials if it is a part of their drivers licence.

All entries are to be received by Friday the 7th of July 2017
Strictly no entries will be accepted after the cut-off date or on race day. Entries received without payment will not be included in the race draw and therefore will start at the rear of the field.
Any entries received that do not race will be fully refunded.
Note: All competing boats must be fitted with a Race Safe Fitting Kit prior to scrutineering.
